It’s that time again…she’s 9 months old today and for comparison on how much she’s grown, I sat her on the recliner with the duck or chicken or whatever its supposed to be that Gran Gran gave her for Easter. I still can’t figure out what ot is but Charlotte loves it.

Charlotte has also decided that she will no longer sit still for her monthly photo shoot.  I uploaded the pictures from my phone so they uploaded chronologically backwards. To get the full experience of her hamminess, start at the bottom and work your way up. Hahaha

To keep Charlotte engaging in a tug a war with me while changing her diaper, I decided to put the car seat toy arc across her changing table instead of giving her toys or a clean diaper to play with,  because those items wound up being thrown to the floor so she could yank in the diaper I was putting on her.

My great idea is backfiring on me, because now she figured out that she can lift her legs up and kick at the toys on the arc managing to entangle herself into a new favorite position while she teeths on the rubber carrot that is dangling by jer head.

Diaper changes went from a minute or 2 to 5 or more. I need a new plan.

I put charlotte down to play. When i turned back around to see what she was doing, there was Otis laying down next to her

Charlotte has finally figured out how to lay down…again… she moves when no one is looking. I caught her trying to pull herself up on her jumperoo and when she saw me she faked tears until i helped her down. 

I’m going to set up a hidden camera so I can see how she does it.  Haha. 

Charlotte has a way of getting around without me seeing her move. I think I finally caught her, or actually didn’t catch her, moving. I taped the end result.  It looks like she moves her legs while sitting and kind of scoots. You’ll see.

Charlotte will be a big sister in 147 days. Her baby brother is due for arrival on my birthday,  February 24. Let’s hope he comes early like his big sister!

I was debating on whether or not to post about this pregnancy on Charlotte’s site. I didn’t want to hijack her moments or overshadow them with this news.  This blog serves a few purposes,  one of which being her journey,  and I realized that becoming a big sister is monumental in her life so why not post about it.
