19 weeks

Charlotte will be a big sister in 147 days. Her baby brother is due for arrival on my birthday,  February 24. Let’s hope he comes early like his big sister!

I was debating on whether or not to post about this pregnancy on Charlotte’s site. I didn’t want to hijack her moments or overshadow them with this news.  This blog serves a few purposes,  one of which being her journey,  and I realized that becoming a big sister is monumental in her life so why not post about it.

15 minutes at the park

I decided that since it’s officially the first day of Autumn, that it’s about time Charlotte enjoyed some time at the park. What I forgot was….this is South Florida.  This is not the North where winter is coming. Oh no. It’s still tank top, cotton shorts and flip flop weather here. The last place you want to be at 2pm on a partly cloudy day is a park, even with plenty of shade.  We lasted all of 15 minutes. Enjoy the pics and clips!

She had a blast!

8 months

9/17/13 – Charlotte Liberty is 8 months old and getting so active I managed to get 2 good pictures of her almost sitting still.

“Mom…I was SO not ready for my picture to be taken.”

“That was some gooooood juice. Next time, more juice less water”

I think she finally settled down for the following two pictures.

“It’s MY pictures we are taking today. Outta my way duck!”

image

“Hahaha! You are no match for the power of my cuteness! !!”

Pics from September

Being that I can’t sleep, I started scrolling through the gallery on my phone and noticed a bunch of pictures from the past few weeks that I didn’t upload.  Enjoy!

This is Charlotte’s side of my office.  Who am I kidding? My desk is in her playroom, hahaha.  She was laughing so hard at herself. I wish I took video but she heard the “click” my camera phone makes and it snapped her out of her giggle fest.

Top view of her through the window on yhe stroller during one of our evening walks before bedtime.

Typical deep sleep position.  Her legs are always exposed.  The blanket isn’t covering her face, that was the first thing I checked.

Early morning play before work. That is yogurt on her face.  She has mastered the head shaking while I try to clean her up after breakfast.  (9 oz of yogurt every morning.  If she sees the yogurt in the grocery cart, she tries to get it. If she does manage to get it, she tries to open it.)

I don’t remember if I posted these. The pups adore Charlotte.  Otis watches over her and allows her to do anything she wants to him. Kali loves her like she’s her own.

Here’s Otis being the best dog ever.

Kali being her glamorous self, waiting for me to give her the okay to play with Charlotte.

That’s all for now.

Watch “Up late!” on YouTube

Charlotte took a late afternoon nap and slept for almost 2 hours which threw off the evening bedtime routine. I gave her her bath at her normal time and after noticing she wasn’t tired, I thought taking her for an errand would knock her out. We tried her routine but 45 minutes later she was still up. So here she is (now asleep) playing in one of the playpens for a lil bit
